What to Expect
Let's go for a Wild Ride at the Birmingham Zoo! We've got great events for your kids on their bike this summer. This time, we will be racing through the Birmingham Zoo in July!
No Zoo Pass needed! Just a Bike Safari Pass ($20) for the event. Parents can walk alongside their riders for extra fun.
5:00PM - Coaching Bike Skills Clinic - Optional ($25)
5:05PM - Sign up / Check In $20 - Open Riding Laps in the Zoo
6:00PM - Bike Races Begin
Awards are given after all race categories are complete.
What’s included:
1. Bike Name Plate - commemorate this fun experience with a unique tag to wear on your bike.
2. Organized racing inside the Zoo.
3. FREE sticker packs

Event History
The Hammies has organized races around Birmingham for all ages. We have had many successful mountain bike and trail running races since 2019. Now we are offering a special events just for your little riders!
Route Details
A unidirectional route through the zoo will be marked off with designated stopping zones for parents to keep tabs on their little ones. Parents are welcome to walk around with their young children.

Bill is a certified mountain bike coach and the owner of Treeline Expeditions which has been offering after school and weekend outdoor programs for over 10 years. Treeline Expeditons and Little Hammies goals aligned perfectly because we aim to get your kids unplugged and on their bikes.
